Chelsea vs Everton: EPL betting guide and tips
By Mike Malley
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, though. The number one task at hand will be making money this Saturday. I think it’s time to retire the automatic under 2.5 total goals bet for the time being (RIP to a legend), but I do have a different play that I feel very strongly about. Chelsea over 1.5 team goals at -146 odds is calling my name.
The Blues have surpassed this total in each of their previous two outings and appear to have made genuine progress in terms of putting together a cohesive attacking game plan. Kai Havertz in particular has been solid since the loss to Tottenham, so I expect the German playmaker to start at striker and potentially bag another goal.
He hasn’t scored in three consecutive matches in almost exactly a year, so it’s about time he found some consistency. A Kai Havertz rejuvenation would do absolute wonders for the team’s prospects during its UCL campaign.
I’ve also been eyeing the yes option on the goal to be scored in both half props at -122 odds. Like the Blues’ team total, this prop hit against Leicester and Dortmund and looks pretty solid against Everton. These teams concede 2.4 goals per match combined on the season, so I expect decent entertainment value in the clash.
