Fabrizio Romano has spoken about potential Chelsea incomings Manu Kone, Romeo Lavia and Declan Rice. Which transfer target would The Pride of London ideally choose?

Before Chelsea get ahead of themselves and start to plan another bumper pack of incredibly talented and expensive signings this summer, they must first address a saturated roster. Within that squad, frustration and annoyance shall start to become further prevalent. That is, if ill feeling has not begun to permeate the situation already. There are numerous areas of the side which have an abundnce of options.

Midfield would be one of those specific zones with an influx that hit capacity. Obviously the wing department is arguably the most ridiculously packed. International wingers await chances and are rotated around. The wingmen naturally find nearly no constant form whilst head coach Graham Potter tinkers with his team. Meanwhile, back in the middle, the Blues will even be able to call upon N’Golo Kante very soon. This development will surely leave one or two well-known CFC men out in the cold. An impressive  Denis Zakaria didn’t get much of a chance to continue impressing. The Swiss loanee is quite far down the contemporary pecking order. But which midfielders should be sold when the 2022/23 seasons ends?

Let’s say Kante will remain in west London, especially as his brand new contract talks are apparently progressing nicely. Then there is Enzo Fernandez, who is going nowhere. Mateo Kovacic is such an adept athlete in the middle but is linked with a departure, as is Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Conor Gallagher is one who might perhaps remain at Stamford Bridge.

So, which stars do Chelsea wish to bring in? Well, Fabrizio Romano claims that Manu Kone, Romeo Lavia and Declan Rice are all on the Blues’ wishlist. Rice remains an attractive selection as I see it.
