The team’s defense has significantly improved recently, as seen by the fact that they have preserved a clean sheet in three of their previous four games. Villa, on the other hand, has a dismal record at Stamford Bridge, having won only once in their previous 17 visits. Since a 3-1 victory in December 2011, they have lost six of their last seven games. The home team this weekend suffered major injury blows during the past international break and will travel without several west Midlands stars.

Nevertheless, they will have to do it without their star right-back Matty Cash after the Polish international suffered an injury while serving his country. In the ninth minute of Poland’s matchup with Czech Republic last Friday, the 25-year-old was substituted. Philippe Coutinho, a former Liverpool player, is almost ready to play again for the Villans, but he must race against the clock because he was out before the interval. Boubacar Kamara, a crucial midfielder, is also questionable after missing the last two league games. The Frenchman, who has significantly improved Villa, will also face a late test.
