It’ll be tough to predict how the match will shake out, but I have a feeling Liverpool will try to replicate its 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United against another Big 6 rival. Especially considering how vulnerable the Blues are at the moment, there’s no doubt Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah smell the blood in the water.

I felt pretty confident about the under in the weekend’s meeting with Villa, but I really like the opposite play for Tuesday. Despite their overall struggles, Liverpool has managed to be one of the strongest attacking teams in the EPL, averaging 1.8 goals per match.

The defense hasn’t been horrible either, conceding only 1.2 goals per game, but it certainly hasn’t matched its level of a few seasons ago when Klopp and his boys were challenging for the top honors on the continent. I don’t doubt that the Reds will find the back of the net at some point during the 90’, but I’m optimistic that Chelsea can as well.

Whether it’s in a one-sided rout or an end-to-end shootout, I expect there to be solid entertainment value in the contest. For this reason, I like over 2.5 total goals at -122 odds.

A second bet I’ve had my eye on is 0-1 anytime correct score in favor of the away side at +100. Anyone who’s watched Chelsea in 2022/23 will know about the team’s penchant to give away cheap goals either very early or very late in matches, and the Reds are notorious for being ruthless from the opening kickoff.
