Right Wing: Raheem Sterling

The seasoned winger was left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad due to injury concerns. But he is deemed to be fit now after his cameo against his former club. The attack has lacked goals and Sterling is someone who can help immensely and immediately.

Left Wing: Mason Mount

Favoritism? no. The German International’s form has been poor and his performance against Liverpool was unacceptable. It has reached a point where Havertz isn’t having a positive impact on the game, but his inclusion is doing the exact opposite. He was clueless on the ball, lazy off the ball and what he does in the final third is difficult to comprehend. The newbies, Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke have struggled to perform and struggled for regular minutes respectively and are unlikely to start the game.

This leaves the Blues with Mason Mount, who is known for his work off the ball and playmaking abilities. And Lampard does trust the man as he was crucial to the team under his first spell. Mount will have to make the most of this chance and convince the owners that his demands were reasonable.

Striker: Joao Felix

The Atletico Madrid loanee whose permanent switch is being considered has been lively in attack. He made some threatening runs in the last game wriggling through the defence, but his finishing works against him. Felix has minimal time left to prove himself as the managerial switch has opened doors to the experienced striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
