Here are your betting guide and tips for Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

There’s probably never a great time to come up against Real in the Champions League, but I don’t think Chelsea could’ve picked a worse occasion for this meeting. The Blues are struggling mightily again, having only won once in their last five matches, and could be in danger of being dragged into a late-season relegation scrap if they can’t even pick up a single point on a consistent basis. Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Wolves was another step in this direction.

I understand that appointing Frank Lampard as caretaker was a popular decision with many of the fans, but he’s a terrible manager and has proven so at nearly every stop in his career thus far. I’m genuinely worried about CFC’s future at this point. Things should be fine as long as the club avoids relegation after this nightmare of a year, but I don’t trust Todd Boehly to make the right decisions for the future.

The upcoming UCL tie against Real doesn’t even excite me that much, although it definitely should. These two clubs have faced off during each of the past two European campaigns, with the Blues coming away victorious in 2020/21 and Los Blancos claiming victory last year. All four matches in these contests were incredibly competitive, particularly the memorable second leg in 2021/22 that finished 3-2 in favor of the London side, but ultimately saw Madrid advance to the semifinals on goal difference.
