Chelsea at Real Madrid: UCL betting guide and tips
By Mike Malley
Of course, there will be one key figure missing from this edition of the matchup in Thomas Tuchel. And recent evidence would suggest he was largely responsible for the pride of London’s latest triumphs. I have no faith that they can pull off this upset.
I don’t understand why the oddsmakers still give Chels‘ so much respect considering how poor they look week-in, week-out, but I’m not mad at them in this instance. Favoring Real Madrid on the moneyline at -135 odds is incredible value for gamblers, and I’m responsibly advising you to place a large-unit bet on the Spanish side to take the victory. I know that Real has been in relatively poor form recently themselves, having fallen 12 points adrift of Barcelona in the La Liga title race, but the galacticos have been nearly flawless on the continent this season.
Their 6-2 aggregate victory over Liverpool in the Round of 16 was a message to the other UCL contenders that this competition has, does, and always will belong to Real Madrid. A European night at the Bernabeu would be a dream for most players, but I doubt many of the Blues are looking forward to taking part in this contest.
