Kaoru Mitoma is the man of the moment on the south coast with 11 goal contributions this season from the left wing, so Reece James will need to be on high alert for the second time this week following his clash with Vinicius Jr. in the Champions League. The oddsmakers have both teams at nearly even value, with Chelsea listed at +165 odds and Brighton at +160, but I’m not sure there’s any question who’s coming away with all three points. This year just needs to end.

I really do like the Seagulls’ value on the moneyline in this contest, despite their most recent result against Spurs last weekend. They had been unbeaten since February 18 before that loss, an incredible run of form that likely won’t be put off by a bizarre blip that saw both managers sent to their respective locker rooms with 30’ remaining.

The Seagulls already obliterated Chelsea, 4-1, earlier this season, so even a lopsided victory in favor of the visiting side wouldn’t be that much of a surprise, especially considering De Zerbi and his squad also defeated Lampard’s Everton by the same scoreline at the beginning of January. The Italian tactician simply outclassed the club from the capital and its current gaffer in their previous meetings this campaign, so I have a feeling we’ll see more of the same on Saturday. And with the plus sign in front of that number, you know I’m placing this bet.

A second play I really like is draw for the halftime result prop at +110 odds. Mattheus Nunes’ wonder strike prevented me from cashing this last weekend when Chelsea traveled to Molineux, so I’m hoping for a better outcome this time. I mentioned earlier that this match has serious blowout potential, but the Blues’ defense has been relatively resolute at the Bridge.
