News suggests that Luis Enrique was upset by Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly’s decision to install Frank Lampard as caretaker – will he still join the Blues?

What a mess the Blues have gotten themselves into on and off the pitch this season. Now even the CFC dressing room isn’t off-bounds regarding unprofessional behaviour. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse at Stamford Bridge, they do. All this just before entertaining Real Madrid with a two-goal deficit to overturn. I must admit that I presumed Todd Boehly’s regime would inspire success or a realistic rebuild through dedication, love or money. Yet resulting disharmony and disarray chiefly caused solely by wrong decision with no indecision or care has naturally been picked up by the media.

However, issues have gone further and reports make for difficult reading. Following loss to Brighton & Hove Albion during the past the weekend, chairman Boehly gave a speech intending to motivate the west London squad. It backfired. Supposedly, according to the gaffer himself, Frank Lampard has no problem with the co-owner making such soliloquies to the team. Although, an unnamed Chels‘ star is said to be disgruntled after being singled out for criticism. The claim is that the American suggested the current Chelsea campaign is an embarrassment to the club. “The whole thing was weird”, is the quote from a CFC ‘insider’.
