Here are your betting guide and tips for Chelsea’s Premier League matchup with Brentford. Courtesy of Mike Malley.

Well, my friends, the rest of this Chelsea season is probably going to be meaningless. The Blues were thoroughly dismantled by Real Madrid over two legs in the UCL quarter-final by an aggregate scoreline of 0-4, which feels appropriate considering the visible difference in quality between the two sides. And while Los Galacticos’ experience in European competition certainly helped the players persevere through the few difficult moments they had over the 180’ of football, the biggest gap in talent was on the touchline.

Frank Lampard gave his squad absolutely zero chance of advancing in the tournament. Judging by his starting XI for the second leg, the CFC gaffer seemed to have thought that his team was winning the tie and needed to hold onto a slim lead. Managerial inadequacies have plagued the Pride of London since the end of Thomas Tuchel’s reign earlier this season, but Todd Boehly has made matters worse by lowering the standard with each subsequent decision. Until this team can find a competent leader in terms of tactics and man-management, I worry we won’t see any improvement.
