When Frank Lampard was appointed interim manager at Chelsea, the club’s fans hoped for slightly better results compared to the ones they achieved with Graham Potter at the helm. However, since Lampard’s appointment, things seem to have taken a turn for the worse at CFC. Under Lampard, Chelsea have lost five consecutive matches.

Wolves, Real Madrid, Brighton, and Brentford are the teams that have secured victories over the Blues under Lampard’s regime. These consecutive defeats and poor performances have led to a lot of criticism from fans. Many believe that Lampard must be axed from the club. However, as per reports, the Blues manager will lead the team until the end of this season.

While Lampard’s stay at the club is not being enjoyed by many, former Chelsea icon Frank Leboeuf believes Lampard must resign himself. During an interview, the former CFC player urged Lampard to take an exit from the team. He said:

"“We’ve said it all you know. There is nothing I can say. Maybe to Frank Lampard – get out! Get out quickly. There is nothing you can do. They need a win. One win. Three points to make sure they are not going to be relegated. Again we’re talking about Chelsea. That’s appalling. But in fact, when you watch all of the games they just deserve to be there.”"

Based on the reactions of the public and football pundits around the world, it is clear that not many are happy with Lampard’s managerial run at Chelsea. After all, the performances from his team have been disappointing. However, when it comes to their next game, both Lampard and CFC will have a point to prove

Can Chelsea get a much needed win against Arsenal?

From being clear favorites to win the league to now finding themselves under pressure, Arsenal is not experiencing the best of form. Their recent 4-1 loss to Manchester City indicates that the club is struggling towards the end of the season. This is something Chelsea can take advantage of.

After five successive losses, it is clear that CFC will be hunting for a much-needed victory. What better place than the Emirates Stadium to gain that victory over London rivals Arsenal? However, it won’t be an easy task. Unlike the Blues, Arsenal has had a good season for the most part and is still on top. But considering this is football, anything can happen!
