Kepa also completed 50 per cent of his 10 long balls attempted. Things were bad, but they could have been much worse if the former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper was not in the form that he was. This is the third time since Lampard became interim boss that the Blues conceded 10 shots on target in a game. This means that in the Real Madrid away game, the Brighton home game and the most recent game combined, Arrizabalaga has faced 30 shots on target, and saved 23 of them according to SofaScore. Arrizabalaga now boasts a 75% save rate this season making 3.2 saves per game. Arrizabalaga, despite being behind a team that has been consistently underwhelming, is having an excellent season.

Noni Madueke, right winger

Madueke was another positive from the bucket of garbage that was Chelsea’s performance on the night. He did very well on the ball as well as off it. He contested 11 duels in the game and won 5/10 ground duels. He completed 4/5 dribbles and topped off the display with a goal after he made a brilliant run behind Arsenal’s defense and received a superb pass from Mateo Kovacic. He coolly put it past Aaron Ramsdale to ruin the England goalkeeper’s clean sheet.
