Talented Chelsea loanee Joao Felix might perhaps sign for the Blues’ Premier League rivals Newcastle United. Meanwhile CFC Academy graduate Mason Mount is apparently set for an exit from the west London club. The Pride of London examine news and offer our views.

I wonder how many Blues fans would like Joao Felix to stay at Chelsea permanently? I certainly rate him as one of the most gifted footballers in the contemporary CFC squad.

Felix is unlikely to return to Atletico Madrid following issues with manager Diego Simeone. As the attacker is desperate to play Champions League football next season, the capital outfit could lose him to a side such as Newcastle. There is more here.

Mason Mount unhappy at offer and ready to leave Chelsea as his monetary value is revealed

Mount is synonymous with Chelsea Football Club, it must be said. Though sport and athletes change like the wind in order to reinvent and reinvigorate themselves. Does Mount need a fresh start to kick start his career? I would say so, yes.

However, with Mauricio Pochettino excepted to take over at Stamford Bridge, the versatile and, at times, deadly attacking midfielder could potentially revitalise himself at CFC. Pochettino is arguably exactly the type of head coach Mount requires for a significant boost and to finally specify which role the 24-year-old is best suited.

Although, my points may perhaps end up inconsequential or in vain because Mount is weighing up leaving Chels‘. ‘Poch’ is said to be facing an uphill battle in order to retain the England international. The latter apparently has a strained relationship with the Blues hierarchy, made more intense following a rejected one-year contract extension offer seen as derisive.

Of course, clubs like Liverpool are hovering in case the player becomes available. Mount’s value is supposedly around £60million, yet I doubt that amount could be secured due to only one season remaining on his current deal.
