1. Pernille Harder dazzles again on what is now her farewell tour

The news broke the morning after the match. Both Pernille Harder and Magdalena Eriksson will be departing west London at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Now that it is official, CFCW fans must cherish the attacking prowess of Harder. Her career has been riddled with injuries in England, but no player makes a bigger difference in the attack than the Danish international when she is on the pitch.

In the last three WSL contests, the Dane has tallied eight shots on target, finding the back of the net five times while assisting a teammate twice. The Blues are going to miss No. 23’s creativity, versatility, and consistency in the attack. The Dane has eight goals in eight outings this campaign in the WSL, two more goals than last season in which she played a part in 16 contests.

Harder was the only Blue that completed more than one take-on on Wednesday night. She constantly challenges the oppositions’ goalkeeper, nearly scoring two goals if it was not for Arnold’s reflexes. There are now only two games remaining in her west London career which means their is some time for reflection. Take some time over the next week or so to appreciate the kind of player Harder is. Play with her on FIFA, or watch some of her highlights in blue. The club’s record signing in September of 2020 when healthy has lived up to everything and more.
