Chelsea close in on first summer signing as EPL club target Mendy

Chelsea are apparently edging closer to what is being described as a key first summer signing in goalkeeper Andre Onana. Meanwhile a prominent Premier League club are reportedly targeting out of favour Blues stopper Edouard Mendy.

According to Express, CFC are on the precipice of completing the club’s initial transfer before 2023/24. Having the right person in the net will be absolutely vital in propelling the west Londoners back to where they belong.

Even former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is jealous of Todd Boehly’s plan to get Onana. Yet, United are not linked to the player right now. Several reports are claiming that the Blues are in ‘pole position’ to capture the Cameroonian. The latter currently plays for Inter Milan in Serie A; a price tag of £40million was mentioned.
