Chelsea price tag reveal: Mount, Pulisic, Kovacic, Ziyech, Mendy, Azpilicueta
Chelsea’s valuations for their own stars are revealed. Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Mateo Kovacic, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy and Cesar Azpilicueta are the men in question.
On Thursday, The Pride of London discussed Chelsea’s apparent plans to rid themselves of £100million worth of talent by selling four peripheral players. Those potential leavers are Conor Gallagher (£40m), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (£25m), Trevoh Chalobah (£25m) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (£10m). Whether the Blues succeed in making half of that amount or actually manage to navigate the sale of even a couple of the said quartet is anyone’s guess in this strange CFC period. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and N’Golo Kante might both depart for no fees or respectively nominal payments as well.
In the same thorough article there are estimations of other price tags and prospective suitors. Mason Mount is valued at a staggering £75m; the west Londoners want around £5m for captain Cesar Azpilicueta; Edouard Mendy is said to be up for sale for £25m, which could turn out to be a bargain. Next up is Hakim Ziyech, who might cost a pitiful £15m for his quality skill set; Mateo Kovacic will set an outfit back £35m – which is kind of a steal; Pulisic is a fair £25m after mounting setbacks.
The clubs Chelsea may have to do business with on the cheap
As we all know, Mount may be on the precipice of joining Manchester United; Liverpool and Arsenal both apparently hold interests. Surely he won’t command the huge quoted price with a year remaining on his contract and such uneven form of late. There is, however, an elite footballer in there somewhere
Barcelona is a possible destination for Azpilicueta, a switch which feels likely. Inter Milan or Nice want Mendy; there was a time when the Senegal goalkeeper would have expected to be more in demand. AC Milan, Inter and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring Ziyech. Man City and rivals United could be in for Kovacic. Napoli and Juventus may end Pulisic’s disappointing stay in England.
