Saudi Arabia’s four clubs are set to be backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. With the string backing, these four clubs want to revolutionize the Saudi Arabian Pro League and want to bring some of the biggest names in Europe to the Middle East nation. Two Chelsea players –N’Golo Kante and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are wanted by Saudi clubs.

A couple of days ago, a report surfaced that the Saudi Arabian PIF, which bought Newcastle United in 2021, took control of Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ahli and Al Ittihad, taking 75% stake in each club. The idea is to overhaul the Saudi Pro League and make the league an attractive destination for the best footballers on the planet.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January and Karim Benzema has also been unveiled as the new Al Ittihad player. Al Hilal are trying to sign Lionel Messi, who will leave PSG as a free agent. The Saudi revolution doesn’t stop here as more top names from Europe are set to be targeted.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Al Ahli and Al Shabab have made an approach to Gabon international to discuss a move to the Middle East. Back in January, Aubameyang turned down a move to MLS as his priority was to stay and play in Europe. He will leave Chelsea this summer as he doesn’t feature in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.

According to Romano, Al Ittihad delegation flew to London to present an offer to Kante. The Frenchman is in the final month of his CFC contract and looked inclined towards signing a new deal that would keep him in London for at least two more years. However, he had not put pen to paper yet and his future still remained uncertain.

Al Ittihad made a mega financial offer that would see Kante earn €100 million per season which includes image rights, commercial deals and a creative investment portfolio. The 32 year old was blown away by the lucrative financial proposal and is now expected to leave CFC as a free agent. Romano further tweeted that a meeting has taken place between the Saudi PIF delegation, Al Ittihad board and Kante’s agents to get the contract signed.

The Frenchman will earn a whopping €100 million per season until 2025 and a transfer confirmation is expected soon.
