Chelsea signed six attackers over the past 12 months, with Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang walking through the door last summer. While Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, and David Datro Fofana came in during the winter transfer window on permanent deals. Joao Felix came in on loan, and Christopher Nkunku is expected to arrive this summer on a permanent deal. However, the Blues’ attacking cast still leaves a lot to be desired and much decided for various reasons.

Before the new signings, CFC had Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, and Armando Broja at the club. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Romelu Lukaku were out on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan respectively. All these players had failed to impress in any real sense in several prior seasons, and the fans and board alike thought it was time to do away with them, that inspired the acquisition of attackers that happened in the 2022/23 season.

Of the six new signings, Aubameyang also seems to be on the way out in addition to the forwards that were at the club before the season started, and Felix has been sent back to his parent club, with the club refusing to continue with him on a temporary or permanent basis.

With the above-mentioned players on their way out, as mentioned earlier, the attacking cast is missing some essential traits like decisiveness in the final third, consistent shot-taking, and reliable chance creators. Therefore here are two forwards the Blues still need to add to their attacking roster.
