Chelsea and Manchester United have apparently reached a compromise over a star’s now likely big money transfer. Mason Mount is seemingly heading to Old Trafford. The Pride of London pass on information and offer our verdict, as usual.

Some Blues fans are still concerned that Mount is leaving; whether that feeling relates to losing a good player or the implication of an academy graduate switching to a top EPL rival is up for debate. Although, the £60million now touted as agreeable to Chelsea and Man United is also acceptable to PoL.

Mount is reportedly ‘close‘ to becoming a Red Devil after the two Premier League giants find a fee agreement. Chels’ and United were £10m apart, but have now ostensibly found an understanding.

Update on Chelsea’s pursuit of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo

The Pride of London generally consider Caicedo as a suitable acquisition at the Bridge. I am not sure that N’Golo Kante’s shoes can ever be filled. However, footballers like the Ecuadorian and Romeo Lavia of Southampton represent a different generation of up-and-coming defensive midfielders.

Caicedo could well succeed with the Blues as he possesses a great repertoire and seems to have the correct mentally. Not to mention the hunger, as we saw when he once attempted to force a move away from the Seagulls. CFC’s French centreback Wesley Fofana was involved in a similar situation in which he prevailed at his previous club Leicester City.

The west London side have apparently put a transfer timeline in place for their target in the middle of the pitch. Chelsea hope a second bid will secure the man from Ecuador’s services after being rejected upon first approach. Outgoings have been the primary priority on Fulham Road of late; a new report says Chels’ will turn attention to the 21-year-old when further unwanted Blues are successfully out of the door.
