2. CFC complete the acquisition of Strasbourg FC:

Chelsea have kickstarted their multi-club project by buying a majority stake in French football club  Strasbourg FC. It is understood Chelsea will have close to a 100% ownership and reports from France have claimed Chelsea are paying £65million for their share. Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have always been vocal about having a multi-club model as it could be method of making sure that young promising players at the club can gain some much needed experience at the top level and then be brought to Stamford Bridge.

Players like David Datro Fofana, Cesare Casadei who will be loaned out for the next season can easily be loaned out to the French club and Chelsea coaches can keep a really close eye on their development. Now it is being reported that post-Strasbourg, Blues are also planning to acquire a stake in a Portuguese club.

3. Blues confirm the signing of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku:

The London side has finally announced the signing of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig for £52 million after completing the deal last year in September. Despite enduring an injury hit season, Nkunku still scored 22 goals and provided eight assists in 35 appearances across all competitions. He ended the season as not only his club’s top scorer but also tied for Bundesliga top scorer with Werder Bremen striker Niklas Fulkrug.

Along with the Nkunku deal, it is also confirmed now that Nicolas Jackson has completed his medical ahead of a proposed move from Villarreal. Chelsea have agreed to pay around £30million for the 22-year-old striker who scored 13 goals in 38 games for Villarreal last season and finished the season in blistering form, scoring nine goals in eight La Liga matches. The Senegal international was identified as a cheaper alternative to £100m-rated Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
