Chelsea star Reece James wants to be the team’s new captain, according to his father. Blues icon and highly respected former international defender John Terry has returned to the club. Meanwhile, AC Milan have agreed to sign American winger Christian Pulisic from the west London outfit.

The Pride of London have a bit of a roundup for you CFC fans – and it’s not all transfer speculation for once! Let’s start with one of the most important factors of any outfit: how the side is being led on the pitch. Now that club captain Cesar Azpilicueta has left the English capital for Atletico Madrid in Spain, the Blues need a fresh leader. There are not as many suitable candidates as usual at the Bridge. Though some personalities and performers are more outstanding than others. I would say that Ben Chilwell is a solid and professional character, yet may be more vice-captain material.

Then there are tough tackles with large personas who are also instrumental in play such as Enzo Fernandez. I don’t really see him as a Premier League skipper, not presently anyway. The standout for all the above reasons, as well as being an academy product, is Reece James. James’s dad says, while Mauricio Pochettino ponders his choice, that his son would like to be the chosen one. Meanwhile another ex-commander at Chels’, John Terry, has made his Blues comeback in an academy coach capacity. Supporters will be thrilled that terry is where he belongs once again.

Christian Pulisic finally leaving Chelsea following fairly disappointing overall stint with Blues

Pulisic had some decent times in blue, and even a few quality moments in the Champions League and elsewhere. Maybe he’ll manage to recreate more regular magic in Serie A. The American will reportedly be in Italy this week for his medical before the transfer is finalised.
