Chelsea’s main two striker transfer targets are revealed

According to a report, the two main strikers whom Chelsea are targeting for respective potential transfers have been revealed.

Mauricio Pochettino has supposedly ‘expressed concerns’ over a lack of sufficient goalscorers at his new club. The former Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and Southampton head coach wishes for more firepower at Stamford Bridge. With the beginning of the Premier League campaign in almost exactly one month, CFC recruitment and the Argentine have fashioned a wishlist of potential signings for the front line. Chelsea only managed a shocking 38 goals in the English top-flight in 2022/23; comparatively, they scored 76 in the previous season.

The latest on the centreforward department on Fulham Road is that David Datro Fofana has joined Bundesliga club 1. FC Union Berlin on loan. Meanwhile conflicting reports are doing the rounds regarding Blues outcast Romelu Lukaku. Some say Inter Milan remain confident or hopeful of a transfer; other outlets suggest that the Belgium international’s proposed permanent move to Italy is in jeopardy. However, ‘Poch’ wants either Elye Wahi or Dusan Vlahovic to bolster his team.

Very close to Chelsea’s friendly run

We are now just over a week away from seeing Pochettino’s Blues in action for a first time. Thursday July 20 is kickoff for CFC’s initial friendly of the 2023/24 season. Wrexham are the opponents; of course, the Welsh outfit are meant to be on the rise with celebrity owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The event takes place at the Kenan Memorial Stadium in North Carolina, in the USA. The exhibition contests will be in the American capital, Washington, D.C., as well as cities Atlanta and Philadelphia.

Chels‘ then play a trio of Premier League opposition: Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Fulham. These fixtures are on the 23rd, 27th and 30th respectively. On August 3, the west London team face Borussia Dortmund at Soldier Field in Chicago.
