3. How much will we see of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson?

Although the summer transfer window has been relatively quiet for Chelsea from the standpoint of bringing new players in, there are two names that will certainly look to make an impact this season. Those two are Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig and Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal both attacking players.

Over the last two seasons, Nkunku established himself as one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga, scoring 36 goals. Jackson on the other hand is a much more raw player who Chels‘ sees as another piece towards their future as they have been getting noticeably younger ever since Todd Boehly took over as owner.

It will be fascinating to see how Pochettino decides to use the two, will he play them together with two strikers up top, will he play Nkunku on the wing, or will he decide to only put one in the 11, and bring the other off the bench? The 51-year-old Argentine will certainly have a lot of options, and this preseason tour in the United States will certainly give him the requisite time to experiment and find out what’s the best way to deploy the two new strikers.
