According to a report emanating from Italy, Chelsea have supposedly been given a deadline to complete the transfer of a onetime €41million player for a cut-price fee. This bargain deal arose because of a ostensible foreign team release clause in the star’s contract

The Blues are seeking major signings. The sort of incoming players who catch the eye and vivid imagination of football fans the world over. While some may not consider Paulo Dybala a marquee talent for the incredibly awe-inspiring Premier League, I think he could be very impressive in the English top-flight. He’s now 29, but still doing the business for top teams in top divisions. Last season, Dybala managed to produce 18 goal involvements in a mere 26 matches for Roma. Obviously the competition he achieves these regular feats in, Serie A, is not as competitive as the EPL. Nonetheless, it remains a tough place in which to excel.

Dybala also appeared for Argentina during their amazing World Cup triumph. Another clear indication of his star power and arguable ability to attract further eminent athletes to Stamford Bridge. If CFC are serious about their rumoured pursuit, then, as usual, they have London rivals Arsenal to contend with. Manchester United are another potential suitor. There is a ‘strict timeline’ for Blues recruitment chiefs to adhere to, as well. His expiring Roma contract contains a stipulation allowing an exit for £10.4million for teams abroad. There is a current fee of £17.31m for Italian outfits, too.
