Right Back: Malo Gusto (France)

Reece James is back with the squad and was out on the pitch for more than an hour. And in spite of him being the first choice right back at the club, the Gaffer might not want to risk injuries and would rather use the English International cautiously. Malo Gusto has pleased the fans so far and will want to continue to flourish and display his class whenever given the opportunity.

Centre Back: Trevoh Chalobah (England)

Pochettino made it clear that the staff would like to err on the side of caution when it comes to Thiago Silva’s minutes especially after Wesley Fofana’s injury. This will guarantee Chalobah an important role this season and he should be starting the next game in spite of playing a full 90 against Newcastle.

Centre Back: Levi Colwill (England)

Another young centre back who is expected to step up and fill in the shoes of those injured. Colwill has played only one game so far and is expected to be involved in the upcoming fixtures.

Left Back: Ben Chilwell (England)

Marc Cucurella continues to kick his fellow teammates in the teeth with his poor positioning and lack of awareness. The fact that Ian Maatsen has been played out of position and Lewis Hall doesn’t get to feature at all is all the more saddening. Pochettino addressed the left back situation and if Cucurella doesn’t show signs of improvement, he has to be the one moving away from the Bridge.
