Enzo Fernandez, Central midfielder: 7

Fernandez was very good in midfield as he received the ball from the defenders and distributed it with usual impeccable accuracy. He did miss the clear-cut chance he got, and one is tempted to wonder what the Argentine was doing in that position in the first place.

Andrey Santos, Central midfielder: 7.5

Santos was quite good against Fulham, compared to his other performances in Chelsea Blue. His first touch was so good, affording him an extra one or two seconds on the ball when Pochettino’s men were building up. His pressing was also very good, stealing the ball up the pitch in the first half. His reading of the game was superb, stepping in to make key interceptions when he was on the pitch.

Carney Chukwuemeka, Central midfielder: 7.5

Chukwuemeka was dropping way too deep in the first half until he was told to stay further forward. He was good though, carrying the ball and releasing it quickly for maximum effect. He was dribbling and actually doing something with the ball after getting past players.

Christopher Nkunku, Left winger: 7.5

Nkunku was often on the left flank cutting inside. He was consistently helping Chelsea relieve pressure by making himself an outlet. He was also very good at tracking back.

Raheem Sterling, Right winger: 6

Sterling was underwhelming and failed to impact the game in any real way.

Mason Burstow, Center forward: 6

Burstow was ineffective, perhaps he was isolated, but the youngster was practically anonymous.

Lucas Bergstrom (61′): 7

Bergstrom made a save when called upon in the second half, and that’s all that was expected of him.

Reece James (46′), Right back: 6.5

James was fine without being impressive. He wore the armband when Silva was not on the pitch, which implies that he is very much in the captaincy hierarchy, but whether he’s ahead of both Silva and Kepa Arrizabalaga remains to be seen.
