Predicted Chelsea XI for Dortmund friendly: Santos starts in 4-2-3-1
Right Back: Reece James (England)
James and Gusto have played some good football so far and if injuries stay away, the Blues will not have to worry about this spot for a while.
Centre Back: Thiago Silva (Brazil)
The veteran marked his presence with a good header to put the put the ball in the back of the net giving CFC an early lead. After a decent overall performance, he will hope to start against Dortmund and then carry that momentum heading into the season.
Centre Back: Levi Colwill (England)
The Chels’ faithful are yet to witness the quality this young man possesses. He has struggled with his positioning and looked sluggish at times. In the absence of Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and now Trevoh Chalobah who picked up a knock, the supporters expect Colwill to step up especially now that he has extended his contract. Or else he will eventually get replaced by our new signing – Axel Disasi
Left Back: Ben Chilwell (England)
As reported by Nathan Gissing, Lewis Hall is set to leave on loan and the west Londeners are also open to offers for Marc Cucurella. This means that Chelsea will be using Ben Chilwell and the man who impressed the entire fanbase with his versatility – Ian Maatsen.
