Chelsea have not cooled down their pursuit of young players with immense potential as the Blues are on course to sign another sensational young talent in Deivid Washington from Santos. Washington would become Chelsea’s eight signing to come to Stamford Bridge with Kendry Paez slated to join in 2025.

CFC signed Angelo Gabriel from Santos and are now making a swoop for a second Santos player this summer. Angelo, Diego Moreira and Lesley Ugochukwu have been three additions below the age of 20. Angelo has impressed during pre-season but he is expected to move out on loan this season. Moreira and Ugochukwu could also head out on loan assignments.

The Blues are not slowing down with their investments in youth players as Todd Boehly continues to spend big on promising talent in the hopes of reaping the rewards in the future. Chelsea have been keen on Brazilian striker Washington and the Santos president has spoken about his move to West London.

As per Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, the Blues have made a €15 million offer for the 18 year old striker and it has been accepted by Santos. For things to move forward, the Brazilian club are now waiting for Washington to agree to contractual terms with Chelsea. It is believed there won’t be any issues personal terms and an announcement would take place soon about Washington’s signing for CFC.

Reports further state that the 18 year old is not training with Santos after Santos accepted Chelsea’s bid. Washington is expected to say his goodbyes to his teammates on Tuesday as the player’s family is waiting to find a suitable date to travel to London. The 18 year old and his family could travel to the UK this weekend once all the details are sorted out.

Washington would also see a similar route to the likes of Angelo and other youngsters as first team minutes are difficult to come by for the Brazilian. Once he is signed, Chelsea will look to loan him out with the possibility of a move to Strasbourg, Chelsea’s sister club after acquisition by BlueCo.
