Conor Gallagher, Central midfielder: 7.5/10

Gallagher was superb. His ball-winning was fantastic and he showed that he can be the pivot partner to Fernandez, though whether he can do that consistently remains to be seen. He blocked a shot, made three important interceptions, and won 2/4 tackles.

Carney Chukwuemeka, Central midfielder: 5.5/10

Chukwuemeka was average, and his ball-carrying was OK. Overall he wasn’t great, as he won just 2/9 duels he contested, and completed 0/3 dribbles. He wasn’t useful with ball-winning either.

Ben Chilwell, Left wingback: 7.5/10

Chilwell focused only on attacking, perhaps by design, but he was hardly in a position to make defensive actions. He, like James, did very well in stretching the play, but he lost the ball way too many times and didn’t create enough chances to justify it. He lost possession 22 times but created just one chance, admittedly, it was a clear-cut chance. He was also impressive with his duels, winning 7/10.

Nicolas Jackson, Center forward: 6.5/10

Jackson was Chelsea’s most effective player on the pitch. He gave both Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk a difficult day and got on the end of some clear-cut chances. He ran the channels brilliantly and was exciting to watch indeed. He completed two key dribbles and missed three big chances.

Raheem Sterling, Center forward: 6.5/10

Raheem Sterling played well. His decision-making was lacking sometimes, and other times it was his execution. Overall he was OK, especially on Chelsea’s right flank. He did not complete 0/2 dribbles but completed 3/5 crosses.
