Chelsea began their 2023-24 Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool Football Club. After a 12th-place finish in the league last season, a lot of expectations were placed on the Blues. Also, taking into account this was Mauricio Pochettino’s first league game in charge as manager, many were excited to witness what he would bring to the side.

Overall, it was a decent game of football between two good teams. Even though Liverpool got the lead early on, it was Chelsea who eventually equalized and looked to be the better team for the rest of the game. This match between the two sides also had drama as both teams had a goal ruled out by VAR due to their players being offside.

From CFC’s point of view, they had a good game as the team had better possession and more shots on target. The overall performance could be considered a decent start to the season. While there were some players who impressed, a couple of players let the club down. In this article, we will look at two players who impressed and two who let down the club against Liverpool.
