Who is the winner in Moises Caicedo transfer to Chelsea?

The next question is, who is the real winner of the Caicedo saga? While to the casual fan, it may seem like Brighton fleeced Chelsea, got more than what they asked for, and dictated the negotiations for months. It cannot be overlooked though what a massive boost this is for Chelsea. If for a second they thought this player was not worth it, I believe they would have pulled the plug on the whole deal.

The catch is, Caicedo really is worth it. He will be worth the constant back and forth, the refreshing of the Twitter feed, and the massive price tag. While there are certainly other factors to take into account, like the final pricing structure, the Blues will be able to sit back and rest easy knowing they have a fantastic player on their hands.

As I mentioned, Caicedo is a massive piece of the puzzle Boehly and Co have been working on. He could very well turn out to be the next best player in his position. A fantastic defensive midfielder, who can achieve great things.

He is the key to unlocking our midfield and Enzo Fernandez’s full potential. Caicedo is an aggressive, forward thinking, serial ball winner. His ability to win the ball and transform the field of play from defensive to attacking is a sight to see. His suspension and injury record are essentially non-existent. Knock on wood.

Caicedo will absolutely transform the way Chelsea plays. He will be the player that can help other players reach their true potential. While there are certainly remaining pieces of the puzzle that need to be addressed, Caicedo in a Chelsea shirt will be a wondrous sight for fans and a terror for opponents for many years to come.
