Chelsea FC travel to East London for game week 2 where they lock horns with David Moyes’ West Ham United. Both the clubs succeeded in taking only one point from the opening game of the season and will now be looking for the first win to get the ball rolling.

The west Londoners look strong enough to bag three points from this game especially after the long awaited signing of Moises Caicedo from Brighton. CFC have also landed Romeo Lavia pushing the announcement out today. This leaves Chelsea with only the no.10 spot to fill and based on our transfer activity this summer, we know that although the Michael Olise deal did collapse, a solution will be found in no time.

West Ham on the other hand did lose the club captain Declan Rice but they’ve now strengthened the midfield with the signings of James Ward Prowse and Edson Alvarez. They’re also close to signing Chelsea target Mohammed Kudus from Ajax.

Mauricio Pochettino would’ve switched to a back four as that setup did work in his favor in the pre season fixtures. However with Reece James picking up another injury and the three centre backs functioning well together, he might just stick to back three this weekend.

Goalkeeper: Robert Sanchez (Spain)

Although the Spaniard’s debut against Liverpool wasn’t very promising, he is Chelsea’s new no.1 and will be starting the game as he has no competition after the departure of his fellow Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga to Real Madrid.
