West Ham 3-1 Chelsea: player ratings
Chelsea fail to win their first away match of the season to London rivals West Ham United. Starting well with a decent first half, the Blues put in an abysmal showing in the second 45 minutes of the match. Let’s see how each player fared in the game.
Chelsea player ratings
Robert Sanchez – 5/10
While giving up three goals does not look great on paper, one being a penalty and the other being a defensive blunder is hard to pin all on Sanchez. However, he did not look confident or commanding in the box as he did last match. Hopefully he can regain some sort of form quickly.
Levi Colwill – 6/10
Didn’t look nearly as poised as he did last week. Shaky short passes and unsuccessful long balls, Colwill looked to be showing his young age and inexperience at a high level.
Thiago Silva – 5/10
Nowhere near the level he usually plays at. Was not commanding of his back line, which led to mistakes and disarray. He was not commanding and almost seemed completely removed from most plays. A bit shocking and worrisome from one of the best leaders in world football.
Axel Disasi – 3/10
A huge downgrade from last week. Sloppy play at the back and completely at fault for West Ham’s second goal. Spent his time retreating and watching Antonio rather then actually attempt to defend.
