Malo Gusto – 5/10

Gusto looked decent while attacking, but didn’t offer any truly threatening balls in. He looked out of place defending and looked to be constantly trying to catch up with his attacker on the wing. If Reece James truly is out for a lengthy spell, this could be a big issue.

Enzo Fernandez – 4/10

A truly terrible penalty kick from Enzo saw CFC remain behind at a crucial moment. While he was the main orchestrator of Chelsea’s possession, he didn’t do much with it. His distribution still looks good, but that penalty miss could haunt him and Chelsea for a while.

Ben Chilwell – 6/10

Looked good in the attacking winger position Pochettino has him in. He made decent runs into the box and also found himself on the receiving ends of some balls too. While Chilwell offered one of the better performances today, others may force the formation to be changed and put Chilwell back on the left side defending.

Raheem Sterling – 7/10

Sterling put the best performance of the day in. He looked lethal going forward with pace and won the penalty that unfortunately was missed. Sterling looked like his old self today, making quick passes and finding good space. Unfortunately fell off a bit in the second half, but he’s looked strong on the right wing in Chelsea’s two matches so far.

Carney Chukwuemeka – 7/10

This rating could have been higher if it wasn’t for Chukwuemeka being forced off due to injury. He looked dangerous going forward and made some incredible attacking passes. He netted a sensational first goal for the Blues, which unfortunately his now marked by a loss.
