Right back: Malo Gusto (France)

Some sources report that Reece James could be back training with the squad after the International break. Until then Malo Gusto should retain his position in the squad. Against West Ham, he put out a decent defensive display but struggled to contribute to the attack and will be expected to do much better.

Centre back: Thiago Silva (Brazil)

The veteran has looked decent so far. However constant change in the setup has led to him losing control of his defence on a number of occasions. The strengthening of our midfield should solve most of his problems.

Centre back: Levi Colwill (England)

Levi Colwill should be getting the nod over Axel Disasi considering their performances in the first two games. Although Disasi enjoyed his debut against Liverpool netting CFC’s first goal of the 23/24 season, he made multiple mistakes in the last game. Colwill on the other hand has looked promising and played well overall.

Left back: Ben Chilwell (England)

Ben Chilwell has looked lively and is involved in most of the Chelsea attacks. If he could be a bit more clinical in the final third, he will find himself on the scoresheet ever so often.
