Predicted Chelsea lineup vs Luton Town: Caicedo starts in 4-3-3
Central defensive midfield: Moises Caicedo
The Ecuador International who joined Chelsea for a record fee from Brighton and Hove Albion was introduced in the second half against West Ham to help the trailing Blues. He did make a few decent forward passes but couldn’t really influence the game and eventually ended up giving away a penalty which sealed three points for the Hammers. He will try and put that cameo in the past and make a fresh start against Luton.
Right Central midfield: Enzo Fernandez
Enzo Fernandez has started every game since joining the Blues in January and although the side failed to produce results, we would struggle to name one awful individual performance from the 22 year old before the last game. He too would look to put that penalty miss behind him and start a fresh with his new partners in midfield.
Left Central midfield: Conor Gallagher
Gallagher has been rather inconsistent in game. The tireless midfielder does work very hard but then throws in clumsy and unwanted tackles out of nowhere which put the side in jeopardy. The fans would expect Romeo Lavia to replace him in midfield but his absence in training and lack of pre season would probably give the England International another go in the starting XI.
