Chelsea finally picked their first win of the season against Luton Town on Friday whilst maintaining a clean sheet. Mauricio Pochettino will now build on this victory and avoid dropping any points as the upcoming fixtures look propitious.

But before we get back to the Premier League, CFC will have to face AFC Wimbledon in the second round of the EFL Cup after failing to qualify for any of the European competitions. Although the Dons play in the EFL League two, they have not lost a single game since the beginning of preseason and are very capable of challenging the West Londeners.

However the young Blues will be expecting the Gaffer to put them out there, giving them an opportunity to prove how useful they could be to the injury-stricken side. Also there are players who have already cemented their names in Pochettino’s plans and have been playing regularly. They could definitely use some rest and save themselves for the game on the weekend.

Predicted Chelsea XI (3-4-3)

Goalkeeper: Robert Sanchez (Spain)

The former New England Revolution goalkeeper was brought to the Bridge last week. Although majority of the fans would love to see Petrovic start in goal in this cup game, his work permit has not arrived yet. This means that Sanchez will continue between the sticks.
