Levi Colwill: 7/10

The young Englishman played well overall. Even after the switch in roles, he looked aerially sound and sharp when on the ball. He also got the ball off Watkins but couldn’t stop the rebound which was ultimately converted by Villa’s striker.

Moises Caicedo: 5.5/10

The Ecuador International started the game well and also smashed a long range effort. But as the game progressed, his presence diminished and couldn’t help the side before being subbed off.

Conor Gallagher: 5.5/10

Gallagher stepped out with the captain’s armband again but struggled to lead by example. The tenacious midfielder was yet again found throwing in clumsy and reckless tackles and giving away possession way to often. He really should’ve done better overall

Enzo Fernandez: 6/10

The Argentine was asked to play in an advanced role and he looked alright. He was presented with a couple of opportunities which should’ve been buried at this level.

Raheem Sterling: 6/10

The former Manchester City and Liverpool winger finally picked up form this season and got into promising positions today as well. But a man possessing that amount of experience should be doing much better in the final third and should be the one finishing the chances created when his colleagues are clearly struggling to do so.

Mykhailo Mudryk: 5/10

Except for that one reverse pass to Nicolas Jackson who was offside on that occasion as well, the Ukraine International didn’t contribute much at all. Pau Torres gifted the ball to Mudryk early on, another chance that should’ve been taken. At this point, it looks like the young winger will need a loan move next season as these second rate performances are neither going to guarantee him playtime nor help him realize his potential.

Nicolas Jackson: 3/10

After showing us his credentials in preseason, the Chels’ faithful expected a lot better. Yeah he triggers the press at the right time and all that, but as a striker you simply have to score. None of your off the ball work is going to help you cover for your dismal finishing. To make matters worse, his yellow card in this game leads to a one match suspension. Which will now test Pochettino’s loyalty towards the Senegalese as Armando Broja is back and ready to take his chances.
