Not as if the west Londoners needed another advantage, but they were gifted it in the form of an injury to their former star striker. English international Bethany England will not be in the north Londoners’ lineup on Sunday due to a hip surgery she underwent in early September.

New signings in the forward position, Zhang Linyan, and Martha Thomas will be tasked with filling the hole of the new captain. Vilahamn team will mostly likely concede possession, attempting to break out on the counter attack. The only issue is Spurs scored just one goal in pre-season against top-flight opposition. It doesn’t even end there. England has produced seven out of the north Londoners’ last 11 goals in the WSL.

North London’s new Swedish leader has a track record of success. He has been in club finals, and battled against top sides in UEFA Women’s Champions League contests. The only question is if he can turn the women’s half of this massive club into a consistent competitor in the top-flight? Right out of the gate, he and his team are thrown into the fire. This will be a good measuring stick for the west Londoners’ rivals entering a new era.
