The Pride of London cover two Chelsea topics, as the Blues reportedly scout an African wonderkid who Arsenal once wanted. And Romelu Lukaku is apparently ready to reveal the truth about his Stamford Bridge transfer saga.

Chelsea are targeting Sporting Lisbon’s Ousmane Diomande, according to a report. A £30million Gunners bid for the 19-year-old was rejected in the summer. He is a centreback who has already made his international debut.

"Pochettino has other defensive options but Todd Boehly has shown since buying the club that he is always open to splashing out on young talent. Diomande would fit the bill as he doesn’t turn 20 until December. He joined Sporting in January after impressing during a loan spell at fellow Portuguese club Mafra. Diomande has become an immediate regular under Ruben Amorim and his performances have attracted interest from elsewhereThe latest club to be linked is Chelsea. Portuguese outlet Record claims there was a scout from Stamford Bridge at Ivory Coast’s 1-1 draw against Morocco on Saturday, which Diomande played the whole 90 minutes. The scout is said to have taken notes on Diomande, among other players. Chelsea have joined Arsenal in showing a level of interest in the teenager."

Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku may divulge the truth of his Blues nightmare – reports

Lukaku, still a Chelsea player but currently a Roma loanee, was nothing much but trouble when returning to the Bridge for his second stint. That spell will likely be over soon; pigs flying is more probable than the Belgium international pulling on a CFC shirt at any point again. He wasn’t just a nuisance and very poor on the ball, he often failed to do his main job: score goals. This fact possibly made it more difficult for the west London club to find potential suitors for their ill-advised ‘asset’.

After Lukaku’s exorbitant 2021 move to Fulham Road was unsuccessful – he was previously with the team from 2011 until 2014 – he’s been shipped out to Italy on loan. The regularly disappointing striker was at Inter Milan at first, now he’s with i Giallorossi. And the 30-year-old is ‘ready to give his side of the story‘ by telling all about his 2023 transfer saga.

Lukaku is rather candid for elite footballers, which is something I am happy to praise him for. However, the beans he might spill could upset bosses at CFC. He said he is always honest and will disclose what really occurred between him and Chels’ when the time is right. He insists that, for once, nothing in this story will be taken out of context.
