Arsenal shocked Chelsea by mounting a comeback to secure a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Despite dominant play from CFC, goals from Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk on either side of halftime couldn’t secure the win. Arsenal fought back, with Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard netting late goals to salvage a point in the intense London derby.

Chelsea began strongly, and were given a spot kick early on. Palmer then put Chelsea ahead with a penalty in the 15th minute, awarded after a VAR review for a handball by William Saliba. Palmer calmly slotted the ball past David Raya in the Arsenal goal.

In the second half, Mudryk extended Chelsea’s lead in the 48th minute with an absolute worldie that we’ll just pretend is a shot that evaded Raya. Chelsea controlled the midfield, pressuring Arsenal effectively. However, a costly mistake from Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, allowed Rice to bring Arsenal back into the match in the 77th minute. Rice seized on Sanchez’s lax pass and found the net, narrowing the gap.

Arsenal leveled the score soon after, with Trossard tapping in from Bukayo Saka’s cross at the back post, sending the away fans into a frenzy. Both teams pushed for a winner in added time, but the match ended in a draw, leaving the London rivals even.
