It’s time to see what this club is really made of. As impressive as having a two-goal lead against last season’s runners-up was, there is clearly room for this club to take a step forward. Beginning this weekend, and concluding on December 6, almost everyone will have a solid idea of where approximately Mauricio Pochettino’s team is at in the rebuilding stage. The next six league contests are all against teams that finished in the top-nine of the English top-flight last season.

For the third time in the month of October, Chelsea Football Club will compete in a London derby. Coming off the west Londoners’ first points against Arsenal since August 2021, the Blues encounter Brentford, a club just two points behind them in the Premier League table. The Bees brought out their stringers against the Blues in their last three league fixtures against the fellow west London side, picking up seven points combined in those games.

No matter how much you want to say the Gunners were outplayed, coming away with just one point following that display is a tough pill to swallow. Putting together a complete performance at home will be vital with the red-hot Tottenham Hotspur up next on Monday evening in the third largest ground in England.

With the sparkplugs of the side coming from individuals among the younger generation, lets take a look at two Blues that could thrive if provided a larger opportunity at Stamford Bridge on Saturday morning.
