2. Djordje Petrovic

As the Imagine Dragons once said, “It’s Time”. It should have been last weekend. Either way, the former New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic merits a chance between the posts. I think I am speaking for CFC fans when I am saying, almost everyone is tired of Robert Sanchez.

A lot of the hate for Sanchez is still unwarranted though. There were moments in which he shined brightly, but at the end of the day, the west Londoners need to see what they have in the Serbian. Playing him in a contest outside of the English top-flight is the perfect opportunity to ease the newcomer into it, instead of throwing him right into the fire.

Maybe, Petrovic can save ownership a little money earning the No. 1 position at the club? That’s a massive “what-if”. It’s not like he is incapable. The 24-year-old produced success in another top-flight league across the pond. If the the former New England No. 99 does well, ride the wave. Who knows, but there is a possibility that these costly errors could be few and far between with the Serbian in net.
