Thiago Silva’s strong message amid reports of upcoming Chelsea signing

While signing a striker will be a priority, the Blues are looking to tighten their defense. This report comes after Chelsea’s four-win game streak ended after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brentford.
In the game, CFC’s defense crumbled while their attack couldn’t make much of the opportunities. Regardless of this game, if Chelsea is going to sign a defender, Thiago Silva is one player who might be shown the door. This season, the Brazilian has not been at his best, and age would also be a factor the Blues would consider.
However, Silva is not ready to back down without a fight. Over the years, the veteran center-back has proven many doubters wrong with extraordinary comebacks. Similarly, despite defeats and lackluster performances this season, Thiago Silva seems determined to battle. After the defeat to Brentford, the veteran shared a message on Instagram. He wrote:

In the EFL Cup’s Round of 16, Chelsea Football Club will face Blackburn Rovers. Going into the game, Chelsea are in decent form with three wins, one draw, and one loss in their last five. Compared to the start of the season, the Blues seem to have found their footing. On the other hand, Blackburn Rovers have registered three wins and two losses in their last five.
Currently placed in 12th position in the Championship, Blackburn has found most of their success in the EFL Cup.
