Right Back: Reece James (England)

Club captain – Reece James returned to the starting XI in the last game and is expected to the start the next game as well. The only doubt is whether or not he could play out the entire 90.

Centre Back: Thiago Silva (Brazil)

The former AS Monaco centre-back pairing played well individually but the Brazilian veteran’s experience could prove to be decisive in a game of such stature. London derbies mean a lot to the fans and considering Tottenham’s form this season, Pochettino would not want to risk fielding two young centre backs.

Centre Back: Levi Colwill (England)

Debatable but Colwill should be getting the nod alongside Silva. Benoit Badiashile played for Chelsea for the first time this season after missing the first few weeks due to a hamstring injury that he picked up at the end of last season.  He played exceptionally well and then hit the jackpot by marking his return with a goal. However the Frenchman was replaced by Levi Colwill after completing 60 minutes who didn’t set a foot wrong after coming on. The English International has been one of the first names on the team sheet for Pochettino this season and is likely to retain his spot in the playing XI.

Left Back: Marc Cucurella (Spain)

Cucurella has been one of the most underrated players for the club this season, impressively covering for our unavailable fullbacks. However he’d have to do even better now as Badiashile and James’ comeback could pose a threat to his game time.
