Predicted Chelsea XI vs Spurs: Colwill starts in 4-2-3-1 formation
Central Midfield: Moises Caicedo (Ecuador)
The Ecuador International gradually recovered from his debut performance that was an absolute nightmare and is now one of the first names on the team sheet. Enzo Fernandez played with a very cautious approach last season, Caicedo’s presence in the central areas of the pitch has given Fernandez the freedom to take more risks. The duo were interviewed recently where Caicedo addressed their bond saying:
"“It’s true; Enzo phoned me, and it was a night chat. I mean, the fact that a world champion was phoning you. One of the best midfielders in the world. Receiving that call was very nice, and he convinced me to come here. Now I’m enjoying playing alongside him.”"
Central Midfield: Enzo Fernandez (Argentina)
Enzo Fernandez was blessed with a baby boy last week but returned to the EFL Cup squad and was a cut above the rest. He registered some unreal stats in what was arguably his best performance in a Chelsea shirt till date. The Chels’ faithful have already started noticing similarities between him and our legend and former no.8, Frank Lampard, and have been urging him to add goals to his name.
Central Attacking Midfield: Conor Gallagher (England)
Gallagher is considered the big cheese after ruling out an exit and stepping up for his boyhood club. The tenacious midfielder doesn’t stop working off the ball and has started playing much more responsibly. He is the only player in the Premier League with 15 plus tackles, 15+ interceptions and 15+ possession wins in the attacking third this season.
