Omari Hutchinson

In the summer of 2022, Chelsea re-signed academy prodigy Omari Hutchinson from Arsenal. The then 18-year-old featured primarily for the Blues U21/PL 2 side before securing a loan to Championship side Ipswich Town this season. So far in 17 appearances for Ipswich, Hutchinson has two goals and three assists to his name. Despite only starting four games in the league, he’s been a spark off the bench for the Championship side. His dribbling and ability to take on players on both the right flank and attacking midfield areas has been exceptional so far.

Given more opportunities to start, we could see more from Hutchinson. However, in terms of a future on Fulham Road, it’s hard to see where the breakthrough comes from. There’s a plethora of players currently occupying the positions he covers, but another impressive loan at a Premier league side next season may largely increase his chances of having a future at Chelsea.
