Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claims to have no problem with Chelsea’s Mauricio Pochettino, as the Blues manager apologises to his opposite number. That is, in spite of the latter forgetting to shake hands with his rival as he went to remonstrate with the officiating team. Meanwhile, The Pride of London talk up playmaker and goalscorer Cole Palmer.

Guardiola had already brushed off questions from eager journalists about the lost handshake before Pochettino saw the funny side of it all after another bombastic Chelsea match. Although, the Argentine did ensure to say sorry to his counterpart for missing the chance for a public showing of physical mutual respect.

Yeah, you can probably tell that I don’t value the pointless exercise, particularly. At the time, ‘Poch’ was too busy chasing the referee down to think about Guardiola’s token respect. The CFC gaffer also ensured to apologise to Anthony Taylor as well.

A new soaring star at Chelsea Football Club

What can we say about Cole Palmer?! Where to begin. Believe it or not, I actually expected the ex-Citizen to have a great impact at Stamford Bridge. The only thing is that I really didn’t think the positive effect would occur so rapidly. The advantageous influence has been almost instant from the potentially world-class up-and-comer. Most pundits and supporters envisioned a lengthier transition.

Yet the player is now 21 years old and wants to help his teammates at the highest domestic level. Poch realised that Palmer was ready to make an impression in the toughest division on the planet. Not to mention make and supply goals. So eye-catching and productive have the former City man’s performances been, he is now in the senior England squad. Palmer was originally set to be involved with the Under-21 Three Lions side, though form and injuries saw him promoted.
