Yet the fact that Jackson has begun to score at a decent rate of late, and his determination to succeed, are aspects that the entire Blues fan base has waited to see.
So Alan Shearer’s recent criticism wasn’t helpful for the Senegalese striker. A slightly unfair and certainly negative critique from a legendary centreforward could knock a regularly struggling attacker’s confidence. On the other hand, maybe Jackson was spurred on by the retired Three Lions man’s thoughts.
