1. Even off the bench, Eve Perisset still can make an impact on the match

Some would say 15 minutes is not a very long time. For Eve Perisset it is enough. The French defender did not appear for a minute in Madrid during the last mid-week fixture. No. 15 is not used to coming in for limited minutes. This was just the second time all campaign that Hayes has deployed the French international off the bench. That did not prevent her from putting her imprint on the contest.

With the match already out of reach, Perisset fired in an inch-perfect cross from a corner that Sophie Ingle expertly slotted into the bottom left hand corner. It was one out of the training ground. The player that was born just four hours south of the French capital executed it to perfection. There really has not been a performance in which she did not impress. It’s becoming a regular occurrence.

In just 15 minutes, Perisset completed all but two of her attempted passes, won two out of her three ground duels, and connected with the Welsh international on a cross. Somehow that was her first assist of the campaign. I know, it doesn’t seem right given how much she has impacted CFCW’s play to date. We’ll most likely continue to see Ashley Lawrence start in the Champions League, but even in short stints, Hayes knows she can count on No. 15. A nickname is loading on her, but keep an eye out, we should have one at some point before May.
